Everything tied into Everything

I think it all started in my head when I first worked on a database at my old job when I realized between the internet and databases online you could track and search for anything. For example my recent idea is for a recipe web site where all recipes are tied to their specific ingredients. Then when you get home from work and you're trying to decide what to make for dinner you could enter what you have laying around and you would get a list of recipes you could make. But why stop there, your fridge could track what is inside of it and just tell you right away, but if everything is networked together, I could check on my phone or online for what I could make, or what I would need to pick up to make sloppy Joes. Go to Sobeys they have the cheapest price on ground beef today. I would even know how many calories I have consumed. My fridge might tell me to eat a salad instead. I'd love it if my fridge told me when the unknown substance in the tupperware container is about to become a biohazard, so please dispose of it asap. Can you see where I am going with this? It is an inevitability, much like gay marriage, that will be here one day. Everything will be connected to everything via one giant network, and with everything being tracked people could suddenly practically have their life summarized on a spreadsheet.
I'm not really scared of this concept, I kind of think its cool. I don't have any kind of big brother complex. Heck I think everyone should be GPS tracked, if you're not doing anything wrong who cares. Getting away with crimes would become a lot more difficult, and living in very low crime environment is a huge part of a truly free society. I'll have to get to work on the web site soon and help get the ball rolling.
